I had the pleasure of meeting Dorothy, a valued friend, at Belhus Swimming Pool more than twenty years ago.

For many years Dorothy and her swimming friends visited a variety of venues for Christmas Lunch. Dorothy

was always keen to be included and enjoyed each and every one. She would keep us entertained with her life

stories that were interesting and usually very funny. When Dorothy could no longer drive herself, Pauline or Les

would transport her so that she didn't miss out.

The last few years I kept in touch with Dorothy by telephone or visiting her at home. She was always a joy to

be with. Unfortunately her lack of hearing and Coronavirus put a stop to both.

I will miss her and will always feel honoured to have had her in my life.
